Stressing that no part of the country would be left behind for lack of development, Prime Minister Narendra ModiSaturday laid the foundation stone for Rs 6,000 crore-worth infrastructure projects, including 176-km-long national highway projects, in Telangana’s Warangal.
The PM also laid the foundation stone for a railway coach manufacturing and repair factory at Kazipet. “This is a `golden period’ of India’s development. The highway infrastructure in Telangana has improved a lot in the last nine years, and highways passing through Telangana are connecting economic hubs of the country,” PM Modi said while reiterating the importance of connectivity to boost development and economic activity.

The PM said that the 108-km long Mancherial-Warangal section of the Nagpur-Vijayawada corridor connects Maharashtra with Andhra Pradesh, and also reduces the distance between Mancherial and Warangal.
“The four-laning of the Karimnagar-Warangal section will improve connectivity to industrial corridors in Warangal and Hyderabad, as well as to the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, and SEZs in both cities,” he said.
Also ReadEarlier, PM Modi offered prayers at the famous Bhadrakali temple at Warangal. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Newly-appointed Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy, his predecessor and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan attended the programmes.
